After the destructive Pulwama terror attack, 12 Indian Air Force aircraft reportedly entered Pakistan early morning today and carried out air strikes on terror camps belonging to JeM, Hizbul Mujahideen and Lashkar-e-Taiba.





The Indian Air Force launched air strikes on terror camps and launch pads across the Line of Control in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir at 3.30am on Tuesday. Sources in the Indian Air Force said 1,000 kg bombs were released on Jaish bases across the LoC by multiple jets, including the IAF’s Mirage 2000.

Earlier on Tuesday morning, Pakistan military spokesperson Major General Asif Ghafoor stated that the IAF offended the Line of Control. Ghafoor tweeted that that the Indian aircrafts infringed into Pakistan from the Muzafarabad sector and dropped payloads in Balakot sector. However, he alleged that no casualties and damages were reported in the attack.

To get recruited defense forces you have to go through some of the processes which are explained below. You can go through them and can think of your career in the defense.



Recruitment in defense forces

1. University Entry Scheme (UES)

If  you are in your 3rd year of Engineering, this can be the best possible opportunity for you at that moment. UES entry is for students who are pursuing Engineering and are in their Pre final year of graduation. Once you achieve your written examination positively, you will be call for SSB (Service Selection Board) and after that there will be a Medical examination. After you clear all these steps, the training will begin at IMA (Indian Military Academy).
Application of UES are available from August to September every year.

Eligibility Criteria
·         Result of Class XII in Science Stream (Mathematics and Physics).
·         Pursuing Graduation in B.Tech/B.E / B.Tech (pre-final year) from any authentic university of India
·         Age should lie between 19 - 25 years
·         Minimum 60% aggregate in graduation is demanded.
·         One should be a citizen of India or Nepal/Bhutan/Tibet refugee to apply.
2. Technical Graduate Course (TGS)
Technical Graduate course is applicable for both the candidates who are in the final year of Engineering as well as those who possess a degree. Therefore even if you are not ready at the time you can still apply for this post after completing your graduation. Training will take place in IMA after selection.
Application of UES are available from May to June.

Eligibility Criteria
·         Clear Class XII in Science Stream (Mathematics and Physics).
·         Pursue Graduation in B.E / B.Tech (final year) or already holding a degree from any recognised university of India
·         Age should lie between 20 - 27 years
·         Minimum 70% aggregate in graduation is needed
·         One should be a citizen of India or Nepal/Bhutan/Tibet refugee to apply.
3. Short Service Commission (SSC) Technical Entry
As this entry to get to serve in Indian army for a shorter period of time in comparison with permanent commission. In Short service commission minimum serving duration is for 10 years. Once selected training will take place in OTA (Officer’s Training Academy).
Application of SSC are available from December to January.

Firstly, it is the thing of proud to be in the defense and to serve for the motherland. They offer various adventurous careers for the individuals at different levels of their job. Fighting for our country and experiencing difficult situations provides a first step for a very courageous career that is nothing like a daily job of 9 to 5.  You will lead a life full of uncertainty, praise, achievements and threats. Defense force is a career that will provide us with the scope to connect with different people, travel to new locations, fight for country and live life with a sense of our own belongings towards your country. You will have opportunities to show your bravery and deal with risk so as to assure the lives of people and protect the dignity of the country. You might get chances to cross rivers, climb mountains and survive in such difficult changing environments. It is apparently one of the most adventurous careers in the world and is considerable for people who are continuously looking for new challenges in their life.
